Claude Code is Anthropic's CLI tool for running AI-powered commands in your terminal. You need Claude Code installed to use these skills. Once the repo is cloned into your project, you run any skill by name, for example /notion capture or /notion meeting-notes, and the skill executes immediately.
Yes. Every skill in the Notion pack is open source and free to use, hosted on GitHub and updated regularly. You can read each skill's prompt, fork it, and adapt it to your own workflows, team conventions, and Notion setup.
Several skills integrate with Notion directly. The content-brief skill can push a fully structured SEO brief to a Notion database. Clone the repo into your project, open Claude Code, and type the skill by name, for example /notion capture to organize a brain dump or /notion meeting-notes to structure a meeting summary. Most skills start immediately with no setup. The inbox skill walks you through an onboarding interview the first time to build your personalized email knowledge base.
The capture skill is a brain dump organizer. When you have a messy stream of tasks, ideas, and plans and you want them turned into something coherent, you run /notion capture and unload your thoughts. The skill outputs four sections: Projects and Ideas, Tasks, Connections between items, and a directive question to point you to the next action. It runs fast with no upfront intake questions.
The content-brief skill generates a structured SEO brief with H1, H2 outline, FAQ, internal link targets, word count, and writer notes in a fixed format. The output is designed to be parsed directly by the included text_parser.py script, which maps each field to Notion database properties with no manual cleanup required.
Most skills run on Claude Code alone with no external connections. The content-brief skill needs a Notion API key and database ID only if you want to push briefs directly to Notion — otherwise you can use the structured output manually. The inbox skill uses Claude Code's existing tool access to search email. No paid third-party tools are required.
Each skill is a focused expert workflow with a tested, repeatable process, not a blank prompt. Instead of describing how to run a meeting debrief or email triage from scratch every time, you type one command and the skill follows a proven structure built specifically for that task: one question at a time, zero information loss, and output formatted for immediate action.
