Claude Skills for Content Brief

Generate a fully structured SEO content brief from a target keyword and push it directly to your Notion database. Covers H1, H2 outline, FAQ, internal links, word count, and routes by HIGH / MEDIUM / LOW priority.

VIEW ON GITHUBHOW IT WORKS

Up and Running in 3 Steps

Works without Notion MCP: generates the structured brief and lets you push it manually.

01

Open the GitHub Repo

Head to the Infrasity Labs GitHub repo for the Claude Skills collection. All notion skills live in the notion-skills folder.

Step 1: Open the GitHub repo
02

Download the ZIP File and Open the Folder

Click Code and select Download ZIP. Unzip the archive and open the folder so you can see the individual skill directories inside.

Step 2: Download the ZIP and open the folder
03

Navigate to the Skill and Compress It

Open the notion-skills directory, find the skill you want to install, and compress that specific folder into a ZIP file.

Step 3: Navigate to skill folder and compress it
04

Open Claude and Go to Customize, then Skills

Launch Claude on desktop or web, click your profile, go to Customize Claude, then open the Skills tab.

Step 4: Open Claude Skills settings
05

Add the Skill from Your Directory

Click Add Skill, select the ZIP you just created, and confirm. The skill is now active and ready to use in any Claude conversation.

Step 5: Add the skill from your directory
06

Run the Skill

Open a new Claude conversation, type your trigger command, and the skill runs. Your output is ready within seconds.

Step 6: Run the content-brief skill in Claude

What the Content Brief skill actually is?

A production SEO pipeline, not a prompt wrapper.

When triggered with a keyword, the skill runs a full data-gathering step before generating anything. It pulls keyword volume, KD, and CPC via Ahrefs MCP (or WebSearch as fallback), then scrapes H2 and H3 headings from the top 3 organic results via WebFetch. The brief is built from real data, not guesswork.

The output format is non-negotiable. Every field label must appear exactly as specified: wrong label case means an empty Notion property. The `text_parser.py` script maps label-exact fields directly to Notion database properties with no manual cleanup. When Notion MCP is connected, the brief is auto-pushed, routed by priority, and synced to the Content Calendar.

Batch mode accepts a CSV with a 'Target Keyword' column and processes each keyword through the full pipeline sequentially, outputting all briefs with a summary table of keyword, priority, word count, and schema type.

When it Triggers?

The skill activates when you say 'create a content brief for', 'brief this keyword', 'run a content brief for', or 'content brief on [topic]'. It also triggers when you provide a keyword and ask for an SEO spec, editorial brief, or writing assignment.

It runs immediately on the keyword, one optional clarifying question is asked only when the audience can't be inferred from context AND the audience would meaningfully change the content angle.

How Content Brief works

Data gathering first, generation second. No brief is produced without real keyword and SERP data.

01

Intake

Accept keyword and optional audience context. Ask one clarifying question only when audience is ambiguous and would meaningfully change the content angle.

02

Keyword Metrics

Pull volume, keyword difficulty, and CPC via Ahrefs MCP. Fall back to WebSearch for estimates if MCP is not connected. Flag metrics as 'not available' rather than fabricating numbers.

03

SERP Scrape

Identify the top 3 organic results (skipping ads, maps, and featured snippets), then WebFetch each URL to extract all H2 and H3 headings for competitor gap analysis.

04

Intent & Priority

Classify search intent as Informational, Commercial, Transactional, or Navigational. Score priority as HIGH, MEDIUM, or LOW based on volume, KD, and intent.

05

Brief Generation

Write the Direction prompt output in the mandatory label-exact format: 11 simple fields plus block sections for H2 outline, FAQ, internal links, and writer notes.

06

Notion Push

When MCP is available, create the Notion page with status and publish date based on priority, trigger Slack notification for HIGH briefs, and sync to the Content Calendar. Route to update_page if the keyword already exists.

What the brief contains

Eleven simple fields plus four block sections, all parser-exact so Notion receives them clean.

SEO Foundation: Target keyword, volume, keyword difficulty, CPC, search intent (one of four exact values), audience, and a priority score that routes the brief to the right Notion status and publish date.

Content Structure: A recommended H1, a full H2 outline with H3 subheadings, and word count, all informed by competitor heading analysis from the SERP scrape.

FAQ & Links: At least 3 FAQ questions that match what the audience actually searches, plus at least 2 internal link targets with anchor text and relative URLs.

Writer Notes: A substantive paragraph covering content angle, what differentiates this from competitors, tone, POV, and CTAs. Vague writer notes are explicitly rejected.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about installing and running these Claude Skills.

The content-brief skill generates a fully structured SEO content brief from a target keyword and optionally pushes it to a Notion database. It gathers keyword metrics and competitor H2/H3 headings before generating the brief, then outputs a parser-exact Direction prompt format that the included text_parser.py script maps directly to Notion properties.
The Direction prompt format is the mandatory output structure: 11 field labels in ALL_CAPS with underscores (TARGET_KEYWORD, VOLUME, CPC, DIFFICULTY, SEARCH_INTENT, AUDIENCE, RECOMMENDED_H1, CONTENT_ANGLE, WORD_COUNT, SCHEMA, PRIORITY) followed by block fields for H2_OUTLINE, FAQ, INTERNAL_LINKS, and WRITER_NOTES. The labels must be exact, wrong case means the parser produces an empty Notion property.
When Notion MCP is connected, yes, the skill creates the page with status and publish date based on priority (HIGH: ready for assignment; MEDIUM/LOW: weekly review queue), triggers a Slack notification for HIGH briefs, and syncs to the Content Calendar. When MCP is not available, it outputs the full Direction prompt and instructions for manual Notion entry or running text_parser.py.
Batch mode triggers when you provide a CSV with a 'Target Keyword' column. The skill processes each keyword through the full pipeline sequentially, outputting all briefs separated by dashes with a summary table showing keyword, priority, word count, and schema. Expected throughput is about 20 briefs in 20-25 minutes.
If Ahrefs MCP is not connected and WebSearch produces no reliable estimates, the numeric fields are set to 'not available' rather than fabricated, with a note in WRITER_NOTES instructing the editor to verify manually. The brief is still generated with all other fields populated.
