What the Blog Brand skill actually is?

Persistent editorial context that survives across sessions

The Blog Brand skill solves a real problem in multi-skill blogging workflows: every command re-derives what the brand is from whatever context it happens to have. Persona JSON gets loaded by some skills and not others, topic-cluster context lives inside cluster vaults, and competitor positioning lives nowhere at all.

Running it generates two files at your project root. BRAND.md captures who the audience is, what the brand stands for, and what it will never say: audience roles, active problems, positioning, anti-positioning, competitor differentiation, editorial do and dont lists, taboo phrases, and topic scope. VOICE.md re-expresses your persona as readable prose: pronoun stance, contraction rules, sentence and paragraph ceilings, headline patterns, and the voice fingerprint.

When both files exist, the blog orchestrator injects them into the system prompt for every downstream agent. When neither exists, behavior is unchanged, so the skill is fully backward compatible and opt-in.

When it Triggers?

Invoke it through the blog engine with phrases like "blog brand", "create brand context", "brand voice doc", "BRAND.md", "VOICE.md", or "establish editorial brand". The skill exposes three commands: init runs a five-step interview and writes both files, show displays current contents or reports what is missing, and update re-runs the interview with current values as defaults.

Once the files exist, they trigger implicitly. Whenever you run blog write, rewrite, brief, outline, calendar, or strategy, the orchestrator checks the project root and loads them automatically, so you author them once and every later command stays on brand.

Writes VOICE.md with pronoun stance, contraction policy, sentence and paragraph ceilings, favored and banned headline patterns, the summary-box label, and the tone-slider voice fingerprint mirrored from blog-persona.
