Blog Schema: complete, validated JSON-LD for every blog post

Generates complete, validated JSON-LD schema markup for blog posts using the @graph pattern, combining BlogPosting, Person, Organization, BreadcrumbList, FAQPage, ImageObject, and VideoObject into a single linked block.

>/blog
VIEW ON GITHUBHOW IT WORKS

What the Blog Schema skill actually is?

One linked @graph block instead of scattered script tags

The Blog Schema skill generates complete, validated JSON-LD structured data for a blog post using the @graph pattern. Rather than scattering multiple script tags, it combines every schema type into a single block with stable @id references so entities link to one another, the article references its author by @id, the author references the organization, and so on.

It reads the post and extracts everything the markup needs: headline, author details and credentials, publish and modified dates, description, FAQ pairs, images with dimensions and alt text, organization info, word count, tags, and slug. From that it builds up to seven schema types: BlogPosting, Person, Organization, BreadcrumbList, FAQPage, ImageObject, and VideoObject.

Before it outputs anything, it validates. It checks that all @id references resolve, that dateModified is not before datePublished, that the headline stays under 110 characters, that descriptions sit between 50 and 160 characters, that URLs are absolute, that breadcrumb positions are sequential, and that any FAQPage has at least two questions. It also refuses deprecated types outright.

When it Triggers?

Invoke it with phrases like "schema", "blog schema", "json-ld", "structured data", "schema markup", or "generate schema", passing the path to the post you want marked up. It assembles the schema types that apply to that specific post, skipping VideoObject when there are no embeds and FAQPage when there is no FAQ section.

It actively warns against deprecated types and will not emit them: HowTo, SpecialAnnouncement, the standalone Q&A type, Practice Problem, Dataset, and Sitelinks Search Box. Pages using three or more valid schema types tend to see higher AI citation likelihood, which is why it maximizes valid coverage.

What it generates

Up to seven linked schema types, validated and ready to paste

01

Article and author entities

Builds BlogPosting with headline, dates, description, word count, and an articleBody excerpt, plus a Person schema carrying job title, URL, and sameAs social links, optionally alumniOf and worksFor when those details are available.

02

Organization and breadcrumbs

Generates the publisher Organization with a logo ImageObject and sameAs links, and a BreadcrumbList tracing Home to category to post, defaulting the middle item to Blog when no category exists.

03

FAQ, image, and video

Extracts FAQPage Question and Answer pairs, builds a primary-image ImageObject with dimensions and a caption matching alt text, and adds a VideoObject per embedded YouTube video with thumbnail, duration, and view-count statistics.

04

Validation and output

Verifies @id resolution, date order, headline and description length, absolute URLs, sequential breadcrumbs, and the two-question FAQ minimum, then outputs one @graph script tag, with embedded HTML, standalone JSON, or MDX component options.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about installing and running these Claude Skills.

Up to seven: BlogPosting, Person, Organization, BreadcrumbList, FAQPage, ImageObject, and VideoObject. It includes only the types that apply to your post, for example VideoObject only when YouTube embeds are present and FAQPage only when the post has an FAQ section.
The @graph pattern packs all schema types into one script tag instead of several, links entities through stable @id references so the article can point to its author and the author to the organization, and is parsed correctly by both Google and AI systems. It is also easier to maintain as a single block.
It never emits deprecated types such as HowTo, SpecialAnnouncement, the standalone Q&A type, Practice Problem, Dataset, and Sitelinks Search Box. It warns you rather than generating markup Google no longer rewards.
Yes. Google limited FAQ rich results to government and health sites, but FAQPage markup still helps: AI systems like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini extract it for citations, it keeps you eligible if rich-result rules change, and it improves content organization signals.
It confirms every @id reference resolves within the @graph, that dateModified is on or after datePublished, that the headline is under 110 characters, that the description is 50 to 160 characters, that all URLs are absolute, that image dimensions are positive integers, that breadcrumb positions are sequential, and that any FAQPage has at least two questions.
Three. Embedded HTML ready to paste into the head or before the closing body tag, standalone JSON for a CMS schema field or API injection, and an MDX component if your project uses MDX. You can save it into the post file or to a separate schema file.
