Open the GitHub Repo

What the SEO Content Brief skill actually is?

A research layer between keyword and draft

The seo-content-brief skill generates comprehensive content briefs for new pages or improvement plans for existing ones. Provide a keyword or topic and it produces a full brief: competitor analysis with gap scoring, a winning outline with per-section word counts and keyword placement rules, optimized meta tags, a unique angle, E-E-A-T signals, and a 3-5 link internal linking map.

It filters out non-competitors automatically (Wikipedia, Reddit, Amazon, news sites, job boards) and only analyzes sites that actually compete for your keyword. It enforces a Website Relevance Rule: every section recommendation must map to your actual services or content, not theoretical additions.

Two modes: full brief with deep competitor research, or outline-only to skip competitor analysis and go straight to structure. An improve mode lets you paste a URL to get 'keep/strengthen vs add new' recommendations instead of a full rewrite brief.

Triggers on /seo content-brief <keyword>, or phrases like 'content brief for', 'write a brief for', 'create a brief', 'content plan for', or 'SEO brief'. Accepts a keyword, topic, or existing URL.

Supply a URL to activate improve mode: the brief shifts from 'write new' to 'what to keep, what to strengthen, what to add' — useful for refreshing existing content without a full rewrite.
