Open the GitHub Repo

INVEST is a checklist for well-formed user stories: Independent (can be completed without another unfinished story), Negotiable (details can be discussed), Valuable (delivers something the user cares about), Estimable (the team can size it), Small (fits in one sprint), Testable (you can write a passing test). Stories that fail this test get flagged and rewritten.
In Given/When/Then format. Given [the context], When [the user takes an action], Then [the expected outcome]. It writes criteria for the happy path first, then the main error states, then the edge cases engineers typically discover mid-build and have to interrupt the PM for.
The skill uses a Fibonacci sequence (1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13) and sizes each story relative to a reference story the team has already shipped. It asks for two or three past stories you've completed, infers the team's sizing conventions from them, and applies the same logic to new stories.
A regular process of reviewing the backlog to ensure items are refined, estimated, and ready to pull into a sprint. The skill reviews each item against four checks: is the story clearly scoped, does it have acceptance criteria, is it free of blocking dependencies, and is it sized. Items that fail any check get flagged for rework.
Start with available working days per team member, subtract recurring meetings, planned leave, and a buffer for unplanned work (typically 20–30%). Plan the sprint to 70–80% of that capacity. The skill calculates this automatically from the team size and sprint length you provide.
For story writing: a feature description or epic title. For sprint planning: team size, sprint length, and a prioritized backlog. For grooming: a list of backlog items in any format. It asks for what's missing and makes assumptions explicit rather than stopping.
