Open the GitHub Repo

A match score above 70% on must-have requirements generally means it's worth a full tailored application. 50-70% means you can apply but should address gaps proactively in the cover letter. Below 50% on must-haves, assess whether the missing requirements are genuinely required or whether the posting is overstated, many are.
It flags common patterns: requirements lists that span 20+ bullet points (often a sign of copy-paste from multiple roles), vague titles with broad scope (Director of Everything), compensation listed as 'competitive' without a range, and unrealistic experience-to-seniority ratios (5+ years for an entry-level role). These don't necessarily mean don't apply, they mean apply with eyes open.
Requirements listed under 'You must have' or 'Required qualifications' are dealbreakers. Everything under 'Nice to have', 'Preferred', or 'Bonus points' is optional. The ambiguous zone is the long bullet list in the middle, where companies often mix genuine requirements with aspirational ones. The skill parses this and flags which requirements appear multiple times across the posting (a signal they matter) and which are mentioned only once.
