How to Find Listicles Worth Pitching for Inclusion Using Content Hub MCP

Infrasity TeamLast updated October 28, 2026

Retrieve the "best of" and roundup pages that AI engines cite for your prompts over Content Hub MCP, see which ones do not list your brand yet, and turn them into a short outreach list.

Estimated time: About 3 minutes

AI engines lean on listicles. When someone asks for "the best developer marketing agencies," the answer is often assembled from a handful of roundup pages written by someone else. Being on those pages reinforces the engine's reason to name you. The listicles view shows which roundups get cited for your prompts, whether you are on each one, and who else is. When Claude Desktop is connected to Infrasity's Content Hub over MCP, you can retrieve it in two messages and ask Claude to pick the pages worth contacting.

Before you start, confirm the following:

  • Claude Desktop is connected to Content Hub over MCP. See the Content Hub MCP setup guide.
  • Your organization has GEO clusters with prompts that have run on at least one engine.

Fetch the listicle summary

Request the listicles that AI engines cite for the Infrasity organization over the last 30 days.

Claude returns four numbers first:

  • Listicle citations: 412. Listicles are the most cited format, at 2.3 times the volume of comparison pages.
  • Your listicle citations: 268. 65% of listicle citations also cite you.
  • Listicles tracked: 47 distinct listicle URLs across 4 clusters.
  • Not listing you: 14 of 47. These are the outreach targets.

Read "your listicle citations" carefully. Claude explains that co-cited means an answer cited both the page and one of your own pages. It does not confirm that you are named on the list itself, so open each page before you pitch.

A cluster table shows where the openings are. Developer Marketing has 21 listicles and 6 that do not list you yet. AI Search Optimization has 13 and 4. GitHub Marketing has 9 and 3. Content Marketing Agencies has 4 and 1. You are already co-cited on 33 of the 47.

Prompts are sorted by how many listicles are missing you. The top one is "Top developer marketing agencies reviewed and compared", with 3.

Drill into the top prompt

Request the listicles for that top prompt.

Claude lists the seven pages cited for "Top developer marketing agencies reviewed and compared". Each row shows the page type, citation count, the engines that cite it, whether you are co-cited, and a next step:

  • Get listed for directories and review sites such as clutch.co.
  • Pitch listing for editorial roundups such as business.daily.dev.
  • No next step for competitor-owned pages such as draft.dev, because there is no one to pitch.

Four of the seven pages already co-cite you. Of the three that do not, one is competitor-owned, which leaves two worth contacting: clutch.co (17 citations) and business.daily.dev (9). Together they cover 26 citations across four engines.

Claude returns four findings:

  • Listicles are the format AI engines trust most. You already appear alongside 65% of them.
  • The outreach queue is short. Only 14 of 47 listicles do not list you, and 6 of those are in Developer Marketing.
  • Pick the pitchable ones. Skip competitor-owned pages and start with clutch.co and business.daily.dev.
  • Verify before you reach out. Open the co-cited pages first. If you are already named, you need an update, not a pitch.

Claude then offers to pull the engine breakdown to see which engines cite clutch.co most.

Check the listicles view monthly. A listing you earn shows up as a page that moves from not listed to co-cited, which makes the view a simple way to measure outreach.

Open app.infrasity.com and retrieve the listicles for your own organization to see which roundup pages shape your prompts.
